Danae: So here's what I'm thinking about a better system than the school bus... Ned: No. Not again. Danae: But...but...wait... Ned: NO! Danae: Maybe this time will be different. Ned: And MAYBE I'll win the lottery. Danae: But you never play the lottery. Ned: Exactly. I already know how it ends. Danae: ! *Music note* Lucy: I'm having a hard time believing he actually said "yes" to this... Danae: Well, technically, he said "maybe", which I take to really mean,"go for it".

Someone fell to his death from a zipline here in Central Florida recently. This is not a better system, Danae…

Broom-Hilda is visiting with her old school bus in today’s ’toon. Maybe Danae would have been happier if her school bus had been like that one…

Wonderful, the logic of children. “No, no, we are only shopping for what we need!” “But we NEED lollipops”.

Pretty much my “lottery theory” as well: the odds of winning don’t change significantly regardless of whether I buy a ticket or not. If I don’t buy a ticket, there is still some sort of possibility of a remote, rich relative dying and leaving me a fortune; the winning ticket could get dropped and blown by the wind into my car; or … well, you get the picture.

Hm, I may have to re-think my logic. I seem to share a philosophy not unlike Bucky’s.

Maybe never respond to a precocious kid. Especially one named Danae.

Death, or at least broken bones, will soon follow.

One thing is certain: a horse is not a creature of the air.

Hopefully horse sense in the case will translate as “I’m not jumping off this roof, zip line or not. I don’t see how I’m going to stop before I get to the tree at the other end”.

QuietDragon, They started the lottery in Michigan in the ‘70s A new one comes out every week. I figure that every week I don’t by one, I win a dollar. Because I’ve only ever bought one, I’ve “won” hundreds of dollars over the years….44 years times 52 weeks means I ahead $2,288………..

Lucy does know better. See the 2014/12/14 strip.

“I like to play the lottery on occasion. I see the odds as 50/50…. either I win, or I don’t."~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Totally illogical logic, but beautiful in it’s concept.

Another thought…how is she gonna get BACK?Zip lines ONLY work in one direction. Gravity works like that…-Read today’s “Believe it or Not”. Just eat a lot of beans prior to traveling in the ascending direction.

Zip Lines have a max. load limit. Danae may be ok, but how much does the average miniature horse weigh?
