So maybe that “rapture” has another meaning. They are waiting for you. Curiously there has been an odd connexion between humans and pigs. There is one myth that some humans are made from pigs centuries ago and when cannibals eat humans they call it “long pig”. The first use of the word “hybrid” was in relation to pigs then later women in the 17th century.
As was talked about in “Jurassic world” we have been the cat for a long time and we wouldn’t want to be the mouse again.
“Its a COOKBOOK!” “To Serve Man” is a science fiction short story by American writer Damon Knight. It first appeared in the November 1950 issue of Galaxy Science Fiction and has been reprinted a number of times, including in Frontiers in Space (1955), Far Out (1961), and The Best of Damon Knight (1976).

It makes just as much sense as all the OTHER fables we’ve been fed all these years…like the one about the old guy on the throne made of gold floating around in space…
Thanks for proving Scripture correct Wiley. "3 Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. 4 They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.” 5 But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water. 6 By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. 7 By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.
8 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. 9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.[a]" https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2+Peter+3%3A3-10&version=NIV
“The Harvest” by Tom Godwin is a short story that also plays on this, except that it’s not human bodies that the aliens eat — it’s what we call our souls (the aliens call them “framlings”). Periodically, these aliens stir up a war on Earth, and devour the framlings thus separated from bodies. “Let’s eat the youngest first; they’re delicious and there’s plenty for everyone.”
Oh, and distorted perceptions by occasional framlings that escaped harvesting and returned to their bodies were the origin of myths about God and His angels….

The worst part of being eaten by something is realizing you will soon become part of the thing that is eating you, I suppose….
