I remember when the boomers were young and were going to change the world once they came down from their acid trips…. From what I’ve seen of the Millennials and the Gen Z kids, I have more trust in their activism. Mind you, I don’t believe all of them will do great things any more than I believe in blaming all the boomers for the problems of the world. But the young activists I see today have done their homework and are showing far more maturity than one might suspect. Meanwhile, there are a lot of boomers acting childishly on the national stage. So yeah, let them have their shot — as they must. Mocking them is silly and pointless — we older folks are going to depend on them in our declining years.

The crosswalk signal got hacked, like a few years ago when the interstate message board got hacked “Zombies ahead, turn around now!”.

When it should be Gen X ruling the world. See here’s the the problem: Boomers are bossy and overbearing, Millennials are bratty, selfish, and inexperienced. GenX is getting overlooked and lashing out. It’s middle child syndrome.

We war babies and boomers blamed our parents’ and grandparents’ generations for the mess the world was in back in the 60’s and 70’s.

Now the wheel has come full circle, and the chickens have come home to roost. It’s our turn to be blamed and to admit, that, in some ironic sense, this younger generation is correct.

On the brighter side, I saw Queen performing in the Global Voice concert the other night, and the camera was panning the audience, and three generations were all singing along together.

I know there’ll never be another Freddie Mercury, but that Adam Lambert was pretty damn good, and Brian May was doing the best guitar work I’d ever seen from him, and that’s saying a lot.

I have great faith in a generation that actually questions what it is to be an adult. There is a self awareness in the Millennials that we boomer lacked in our youth and an awareness of humanity as a small portion of a greater ecosystem rather than a majority stake holder.

“Generations” are an artificial construct created by demographers to sell you stuff you don’t want. The Baby Boom is large partially because it covers a long period of time. As a “boomer” I was six during the “Summer of Love”. There must be a ton of boomer pedophiles out there.
