I went to pilot training at Moody AFB. It’s by the big “O” in Okefenokee. The swamp was right across the street from my apartment. At night I’d sit on the porch and watch the thick cloud of bugs swirling in the street light. Every now and then a black blur would fly through and there would be bat-sized hole in the cloud.
