I once read, “The great thing about a dog is that you can sit down and make a fool of yourself with him, and, not only won’t he chastise you, but he’ll make a fool of himself, too.”

There is nothing like the love of a dog. That will always brighten your day.

I remember a quote, whether rightly or wrongly attributed to Russian leader Ivan the Terrible, saying “The more I see of men, the more I prefer dogs”. Still valid.

We’re having our roof replaced. We have to sedate our dogs, they bark like lunatics every time Fred walks up the ladder or across the roof.

Dogs are great at both! Best friends ever!

When I was sad, my Shepard mix, Apollo would lay his head on my lap and give me as much time as I needed to recover. He’s been gone 4 years this April but I still miss him so much. My 2 pups I have now are less inclined to do that, but they will kiss my face until I giggle, which works almost as well.

When I cry, my little Lizzie jumps up on my lap and tries to lick away my tears!

This one is so SUPER wonderful today!!! Gah! So sweet and lovely… Thank you, Mark. Adorable.
