Dory, meet Dory!

It’s a myth that goldfish, at least, have a three second memory. They’re actually quite smart and can remember things for months. We used to have the tank next to the bathroom so I would feed it on my way to shower. It would get excited when it saw me getting undressed, knowing that it would be fed soon. That’s already somewhat abstract thinking.

The gift of getting older, every day is a new day.

Seems to me if your memory were that limited, you wouldn’t know how to talk.

So, we get Alzheimer’s from fish? I think I remember reading something about scales in the brain… But that was yesterday, I think.
