I remember once sleeping over at a friend’s house. In the middle of the night I woke up because I was unable to turn over. I was on my back and the cat was on top of the blanket between my knees.
I remember being about six when one night I complained about being cold because the sheets were cold. Next thing I knew all of my brothers and sisters had piled on me.
In the early 1980’s I used to visit Korea a lot. Among the many things you can shop for there are “mink blankets” (they are actually acrylic) – they weigh about 20 pounds each. On a cold Korean night you could certainly use them. They have an insulating value on par with an artic sleeping bag.
But you better decide what position you want to sleep in before you pull one over you.
I didn’t know that weighted blankets were going to become a “thing” back then.
I don’t like weight or restriction in bedding, but lately our two cats have taken to sleeping on my feet, and one of them presses his paw in the middle of the underside of my foot. It feels incredibly comforting for some reason.

I hate heavy covers on the bed. No weighted blanket for me. I do have a couple of weighted cats, though.

Oh, yeah. I’ve always thought weighted blankets were for those without housepets.

Every time I sleep my 18 pound cat is either against my legs or on them
Doesn’t matter if I sleep in my bed or on the couch, he will find me

You’ve never had a cat if you think they’re the lightest….I don’t know how they do it.
