So the problem is that they’re overdressed?

Then again, if it works for you … and they work for you … and it works for them

On the other hand, they’re not at home … and other people may come in … and who wants to see that …

The organisation I work for doesn’t allow cameras in the office, so no zoom. I still dress up and put on my makeup as if I’m going to the office every day. I find that if I’m dressed for work, I can separate work/home better, and I can make a clean break at the end of the workday.

Now they’ll demand for their therapy pets to be allowed into the office.

I was dressed properly everyday, while working at home. Shorts or pants and a shirt. Our company started a back to work pilot, which I was on. The night before was stressful, it was like going back to school, I packed some paper, books, computer and personal affects. The desks were distanced, I had a rapid covid test (neg) and masks were required. It only lasted 2 days and the government stopped it. Next attempt is mid-August. Non-pilots were told the end of the year, for a return.

I started at my new company just before the pandemic hit.

My old company had a very formal dress policy which got relaxed. So I still wore dress pants and a dress shirt. I dumped the jacket and tie.

The new company is in manufacturing. The dress code is pretty much “wear clothes.” However my closet is still full of dress pants and shirts, so I am overdressed when I go into the office.

Apart from dress code, what about hygiene standards? Does one need to take a shower every day? And if six feet distance is being maintained, does it matter?

I already had a crazy dream related to this. Lol. Thankfully, I can still work from home. Since I worked long enough, 38 plus years, if they tell us we have to come back to the office building I’ll retire.
