Not too comfortable with the zero-sum game. The question was “Is it [the disease] bad”. The answer to that is not : “We outnumber all those others.” That implies research dollars should only go to the greatest common denominator.
I don’t think that implies that the disease with the most sufferers gets the most money,,I think that she was just making a point. All of those other illnesses have major fund-raising events, each raising thousands, if not millions, a year for their respective causes. This was a very encouraging comic, and what Claire says in the last panel is all too true..when people come together, great things can be done!!!
Next, I want them to walk to raise money for micro-farmers, who don’t hire “workers” but do all the work themselves, to help them sell us really tasty dried fruit.

Buy fair trade produce, coffee, etc.
