    So you have to pay the bill ten days before the deadline, so doesn’t that mean the deadline is actually ten days earlier?

    Discover pulled that on us. They received the payment on the due date and credited the next day………late fee. We no longer have a Discover Card. Idiots.

    Oh yes, I have noticed they just don’t care. Until these kind of practices are regulated then they scream “This will make it harder for people to get credit! [because if we can’t fleece you we’ll only be able to give our CEO a 10 million dollar salary instead of a raise to 12 million].”

    some companies put “amount due upon receipt” but how do they know when you received it, it is just another way to try to make you to pay a late fee.
