I have travelled on underground trains in many cities in Europe, including Moscow. The only place I got in trouble for taking photos of one was in France.
I haven’t been to Moscow since ’95, but their subway police were quite agressive at moving people along then. I saw a drunk being beaten on the souls of his feet with some kind of popsicle shaped baton. He finally woke up enough to move on.

No problem taking photos in Barcelona underground (Metro). In fact, they may take your camera and everything else, too.

Don’t they have a home for the homeless children or are they too cheap to provide one? Makes me sad for the children.
