Our old cat used to pick the coldest day and meow to go out, then when we opened the door he’d go out halfway and then stop, like he was deciding if he really did want to go out. So we’d get stuck holding the door open in the cold. Most of the time he turned around.
Funny :) Works for my male cat though. We got back from vacation and after a week indoors he was itching to go out. It was 22F out with the ground covered in snow – so I figured he’d do a turn tail. Nope. 2 hours later he came in with a gopher. Still trying to figure out where he found it…. (We live in the countryside)

Yeah, my cat will stare out the window for hours; I open the window and she’ll stare out of it for hours.

Isn’t it something how well our pets have us trained? :)

That’s just like my cat, Cleo. In cold weather she reconsiders real fast wanting to go out.
