Paul’s vertigo appears to be very localized.

I had pretty much the same problem at the top of the Sears Tower and years later the top of the Handcock Building two of the highest places in Chicago.

A fellow I worked with knew I have that issue. He suggested dinner at a hotel restaurant, it was on the 5th floor and you took an elevator to get there. The ride was normal for floors 1 and 2, but then climbed the outside of the building. Somehow I survived that trip, I exited via the stairs.

When I first joined the Navy I was in transit near San Francisco for several weeks. When we had liberty in the city we would sometimes take the free ride up to the 22nd floor of the Fairmont Hotel in the outside, glass elevator for a spectacular view of the city.
