I usually have trouble getting my cats into a carrier. However, on long road trips, I take them out at rest stops on leash and harness. All they want to do then is get back in the carrier. Cats!
My cousins use the burrito method. Throw a towel over the cat, burrito it (wrap it in the towel with its head sticking out) and place it in the carrier.
