It isn’t the pennies a day for lights that make your bill high, but I don’t recommend turning off the fridge or heat.

That’s the thing about parents. The older you get, the more you realize that some of the things they tried to teach you were not as stupid as you thought.
How was an electric bill for $200 even possible for a one room studio apartment? Even with electric heat, it wouldn’t be that high.
My house doesn’t have that high of an electric bill, not even in summer when the A/C runs none stop since I live in sunny Florida.
