Unless you guys have a steady arrangement, you are both free to date others. How will you know if Paul is “the one” if you don’t look at others? And my guess is that if you have to talk yourself into this, then he is not “the one”. Every time I have been over the moon in love, I couldn’t even THINK of anyone else.
My second wife believed in serial monogamy. In her heyday, though, she would break up with an old boyfriend for a week to try out a new boyfriend, break up with him and then go back to the first one. That way she wasn’t being promiscuous (in her mind). It was rough on those guys who were twins. :)
