Waiting is too boring. They need a floor show or something.

My husband and I are no different (other than we don’t crawl under the table). It seems to take forever for the food to arrive.

Good point, Ruthie. They certainly aren’t waiting on you

It takes much longer for food to come these days since you can’t light a cigarette to make the food show up any more.

Mom should have gone to a buffet. No waiting. For those of us like me with a BD and sharing a New Years Eve with Happy New Years to all. Me I will be going to my pt on my BD then come home and watch New Years Eve/Day on TV. My husband will be in bed sooner then me I have been having trouble sleeping so I will be awake mostly after midnight. I hope I’m wrong the New year for 1010 will make an entrance whether I’m up or in bed. I like Baby Blues and Foxtrot.

Once, in New York, years ago, four of us went to a restaurant. The waiter came over and got our drink orders. An hour later, he had brought our drinks, but not been back with menus or even to see if we needed a refill. We had not seen him, or anyone else, to ask when we might be able to order, or even what the drinks might cost. We threw a couple of twenties on the table and headed out.

Suddenly, there he was, complaining we had not paid enough. We kept going, and found a place that actually cared enough to serve food…

smart gal. I will make sure to ask one the next time I dine out. (I hope they get the humor and don’t blow boogies into my soup. I’m all for seasoning, not snezzining). ;-)

A couple of twenties weren’t enough for your drinks? Just how much did those drinks cost anyway?

Okay Susan got me I meant 2010. I’m trying to think way young but not that young. I don’t think I got that wrong on other sites. At least when I write dates I can just use 10 for the year. Happy News Years everyone. Where I work at pt they made me feel nice about my BD.

We didn’t know, and didn’t really care anymore. But remember–it was New York City…
