Hmm. Where have I heard (read) this joke before? It’s cute if you haven’t read (heard) it before though.

It’s hard for a kid to know what to write to an adult when spelling and knowledge is only his level. The exception have a kid explain to an adult where an adult can understand computer’s or any electronic gadget and you would be surprised of the information a child can give. I’m not sure if OBH is in modern technology. Where is Ruthie when Joe needs her she could come up with something the drama queen.

“Dear Aunt Barbara, I’m tired of writing. Take two Excedrin and CALL me in the morning…”

Aunt Hanna Barbera could be a barbarian (sound alike enough) and then she’d surely prefer the swooping raptors of yesteryear (and yesterday).

But Aunt Barbara seems more like the great-aunt a kid can never really know unless and until he’s fortunate enough to spend a week with her when he’s 17 and find out that she’s really cool.

Meanwhile, it’s formula letters - with the usual excess of Detorie “punning” thrown in so we don’t get bored enough to tune out. (Detorie puns often enough on new technology, slang, styles, etc, that I’m sure he’s quite capable of having Joe explain gadgets to Barbara. If she’d just show an interest, like a properly-brought-up person should …)
