In the old days, cartoonists wrote about six weeks ahead and could take a vacation whenever they wanted, knowing there was a backlog to carry on. Now they [sometimes] post a note above the strip notifying the readers that they are on vacation and these are repeats.
The Dalla Snooze today had a totally different strip.
If you’ve been around awhile (at least a month), you’ve already read the explanation for this strip being 2 years old here, so there’s no need to repeat it yet again. If you’re a newcomer, read back through the comments, and you’ll find the answer..Complaining about Peanuts and FBOFW being reruns is a tad preposterous, considering one artist retired her strip several years ago, and the other died a long time ago!
GoComics has informed me that the strip creator has asked that this be run with a 2-year delay. I’ve deleted my comments questioning it. In those comments, I used Peanuts and FBOFW as examples of strips which were in reruns; if that was taken as a complaint, it wasn’t the intent. Those strips have useful archives.

Rick Detorie said in an interview years back that other cartoonists envied his backlog.
