James has probably never seen a bird that was alive. Other than fast food fake chicken, that’s probably the only ‘bird’ in his world. (Unless there are lots of pigeons hanging out near his family’s trash cans…)
Good answer James. Likely the only bird the other kids have seen as well. 99.9% of kids only know those birds from a) a TV documentary or b) a book.. SAD.
Shouldn’t Ruthie’s favorite bird be crow? I have to keep refilling the birdbath because of the dang robins, always in there splashing about. I think robins like baths more than other birds, they seem to be in the bird bath more than any other.
