That’s TWO more sentences! Here’s what I’d write: “He cut their heads off with the ax he liked to carry.”

Joe can change his two sentences to one compound sentence. Drop the period, then replace “So” with "and. "

Shorten the sentence: Mike’s dumb friend, Sully, tried to CUT the cake with a chain saw – the paramedics had to CARRY Sully out. -————Ok, I used a hyphen to cheat and make it one sentence.

I’m too old for this. The first thing that popped into my head was a song Mum used to play about “Harry, from Tucumcari” who’s coming to carry me home.

I got the first exhilarating taste of stardom as a writer in second grade, turning those ten spelling words each week into a story that amused my otherwise hostile classmates.

When I was in middle school most of the responses to my worksheets went like this-if I didn’t spend the entire class drawing over them to make the characters into the cast of “Johnny, the Homicidal Maniac.”

Wonder the teacher’s reaction on reading Joe’s sentence?
