When I was about 10 or 12 years old, I found a snake in our front yard. I picked it up (fortunately, it wasn’t poisonous, although I didn’t know that at the time), and it coiled itself two or three times around my arm. I went into the house, where my mother was in the kitchen getting lunch ready, and held up my arm with the snake coiled around it and said: “Mom! Look what I found!”
I’ll just let you use your imagination to figure out the rest. You’ll probably be pretty close.

Ruthie, did you know that some villages in India keep a cobra around? (They kill mice most of the time…)

And snakes aren’t at all slimy. They actually feel pretty cool.

A snake is a reptile, a worm is not.

The only thing I’ve learned about snakes recently is that some people call them Nope Ropes, Danger Noodles, and Sneks.

I hate snakes and wouldn’t do a report on them either. Just looking at pictures of them gives me the creeps.

Does anyone actually stick their index finger in the air to emphasize a point? Or at least as often as Ruthie seems to do?

I agree, I hate snakes.
