    My first GP, who had five children of her own (you’d think a doctor would know what caused that, wouldn’t you?) told me to get rawhide dog “flips” for my girls to teethe on. “They are made to government standards, and are certainly better tasting than those rubber teething rings. No worse than feeding her meat, really. Just don’t tell anybody why you’re buying them; some people will have a fit.”

    There ARE rules about sharing food at school. allergies, choking hazards. And how could she mistake a dg treat for candy? Beef jerky, maybe!
