The theme to Gilligan’s Island is one of many songs and poems in common or ballad meter (there’s some small difference in rhyming scheme as I recall). That means the tunes are interchangeable. So you can use music from diverse sources like “House of the Rising Sun”, “The Yellow Rose of Texas”, or the “I’d like to buy the world a Coke” ad song. Many of Emily Dickinson’s poems can be played with those.
