The mice were entertaining for a while, but the novelty has worn off. It was bad enough to bring in the talking dog, but this is just getting too far away from what was good about the strip in the first place.

If you sign up as a Pro you can go back and read all the Overboards from 1998 on. Don’t know why they don’t go back further! And for the record, I LOVED today’s strip! Some of you have no sense of humor! Keep up the GREAT strips, Chip! I love all your characters!

You’re right, I have no sense of humor. Just ask anyone. Lose the mice.

To Margu…., Lose the mice? If you go back and read some of the old strips, some of the LAUGH OUT LOUD strips were with the mice! All the strips are funny, regardless of who he puts in them, Louie, Raymoond, Charlie, Nate, Ellie the mouse, etc. This is the best strip since Calvin & Hobbes!

Calvin and Hobbes addresses the human condition. This strip is humorous, but not in the league of Calvin and Hobbes.
