Skunk Three-week old dried out gristle from what might have been, at one time, a sandwich. Louie, other dogs get smart after they've run into one of these guys a time or two. You keep getting sprayed! Hey, you're a pirate, you should understand the irresistible pull of real treasure when you spot it.

Good Morning All;
One time I was at PETCO. There was a police officer in front of me at the check-out line. He had a bottle of “de-skunk” in his hand. I put my hand on his shoulder and said: wow – that DOES NOT look good – what happened? He said: "I got out of the car to check for a theft suspect that was hiding in the area. I let the dog out. He saw a skunk, and, well – before I could say anything it was over. I walked out with him, and in the back of the squad car was a very, very sad looking German Shepherd. The cop said that after he washes the dog, he’s gonna have to wash the back of the squad car.

No wonder Louie didn’t recognize it. It’s drawn terribly!

One of my dogs loved chasing anything. Skunks were not exception and the spray only a momentary deterrent. Always kept plenty of peroxide, baking soda and detergent in the house to make ‘nasty smells removal paste’. And soda water in the car for temporary odor remover.
