In our house we call that “doggie pre-wash”, and she is verrryy good at it.

From Ann Landers, years ago. Person wrote in to complain about in-laws who always dropped in around dinnertime and expected to be fed. Her suggestion: after dinner have the dog clean all the plates and then put them back into the cupboard. Always works….

Yeah, the reminder stare. Will somebody PLEASE tell me how, now that we’ve changed our clocks, our dogs know that it’s 5:30 p.m. (aka dinnertime)? This is starting to creep me out. It makes me wonder what else they know that they’re not telling.
