He’s just not your touchy-feely sort of god. We knew that already; somebody who sets up as a burning bush just to talk to you isn’t the touchy-feely type.

Well said.
I’ve noticed that most of this strips characters are male and that there is always a lot of joking condemnation of the characters touching or looking at each other.
Methinks the cartoonist doth protest too much.
