@masterskrainNot all kids are that way. I’m fifteen, and the person I text most often is my mother. My phone is not a touch screen, it’s only a safety measure. I do own an iPad, but I had to earn it myself and I got it because I love to write and when I hand write, I cannot keep up with my brain. If you took away my iPod Nano, my iPad, and the tv, I would just read,or write with pen and paper, or play with my dogs. I would love to hang outside with friends and play sports, but none of my friends live within a half mile from me and my parents don’t let me go much further than that alone. My generation may be spoiled in general, but not also of us are. Some of us wish we lived in a time without so many devices because we want to play outside and that idea is foreign to so many others.

I think it was a safer time back then you didn’t have to worry so much about being out of sight of your parents and having strangers grab you. Why you may ask there were no strangers you knew just about everyone around because everyone interacted. Went for walks, visited. Nothing like today where most don’t know who lives next door.
