Hmm, looking like a good choice.

    I sense a write-in candidate in the making…

I sense the mentality and political awareness of the average American voter.

That’s what pollsters get when they only call land lines:

Seniors with dementia, folks off their meds, young kids fooling around and hyper squirrels…

That would be a huge approvement from the idiots that we usually have to choose.

The average voter is a misinformed sheep voting however their minister tells them.

Oh how I’d love a tape of that to play for myriad calls I wish I hadn’t answered!

Yeah both sides are playing us really, which is just a good reason why the whole Republican and Democrat titles should taken out and force the candidates to put some effort into their jobs since they won’t be able to rely on their titles and attack ads to get them votes.

I’ve only once been called for a poll. I did as Hammy, except I tried to make my answers fit the questions. “Do you think guns should be strictly regulated?” “Yes, everyone should be required to own a gun.”

Telemarketers can only call for “previous business relationship” but pollsters can call anything, and do. I’ve gotten a few calls on my cell for political polls. .But of course the issue with using them for sampling is even more problematical because most households only have/had one land line. Now not only do most indivuals with in a house hold (including many under the age for voting) have their own phone but I know several indivuals with multiple cells #s (work and personal, one has two carriers so all their calls are “in network”, etc.) Also, used to be if you wanted to poll a state (or even local in the case of large cities) level issue, area codes meant you got people living where that area code was active and thus most of those you reached if registerd to vote would be registered for that district. But LOTS of people carry their cell numbers with them as they go to college, graduate, or otherwise move to a new area so they don’t have to update their number with everybody.
