Well, no. If you do watch the first “Star Wars” film, at the beginning you’ll see the title “Episode IV: A New Hope”. Rumor was that Lucas’ original plan was to do episodes 4-6, then 1-3, then 7-9. He was also trying to capture a little of the feeling of going to an old movie serial, where you were coming in in the middle of the story.

Dear Orator. Maybe you would be Wiser if you followed Verne’s advice and watched Episodes 4-6. For all you know it may be a revelation.

Hey, Vern! In my world, there are only the three movies starting with “A New Hope”. I do not yet know if “The Force Awakens” exists or not.

I favor the Machete Order combined with the Channing Tatum Cut.

I do not think of Star Wars (IV) as science fiction. It’s straight up fantasy, a fairy tale. It is detailed, epic, classic storytelling. All the elements of classical Greek myth are there.

Star Wars (#4) was our first date. 37 years later, it might last.

Here we go again with the Jar-Jar mania. I for one enjoyed the character for what it was, comic relief. I can’t believe that after all these years people still make a big deal about it. As Charlie Brown would say, Good Grief. ;-)

I, too, am a fan of Jar-Jar. Just an offbeat character who makes me smile.
My favorite character, though? Yoda. Awesome, he is!
