Damn it, I had managed to make my morning comics an almost entirely election-free zone. I hope this is a one-off strip.

I’d vote for the “careless careerist” over the “lazy, trope spewing cartoonist” any day.

I’m not sure how Hammy’s slogan translates into dealing with budget issues.

The Ruskies and Assange apparently have a few more interesting releases ahead; and, “The Donald” surely has plenty of other opportunities to be misunderstood. Two psychopathic plutocrats (or three if you count Bill) will rule. What an interesting four years ahead. God bless the fast forward on the DVR!! Who is a good American: one who gained citizenship legally, breaks no laws, pays all taxes due, abides by the Constitution and VOTES. Remember, we are a Republic not a democracy: the law rules but the people make the laws (supposedly).

There are about five cases of voter fraud in a presidential election, nationwide. None of these has ever affected the outcome. Yet, this is the official basis for disenfranchising millions when we know the real reason is to keep old, rich, white, male, crooks in power, because they are the ones passing these laws..Jerrell CottonThe founders envisioned both a democracy (rule by people with both the majority and minority having rights which must be respected) and a republic (elected representatives to work out the details). Whenever I see someone claiming we are only a republic, I know what they want is something like the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, when 5% of the population selects a Potemkin legislature which rubber stamps the decisions of the Presidium of the Central Committee, whether the economic structure is the tyranny of state communism, or the tyranny of unrestrained capitalism.

Will you PLEASE keep the @!$^&%? politics OUT of the strip or move it to an op-ed page someplace, where political opinions belong? No excuse for a comic strip creator to trash a strip up with politics unless he’s going feeble-minded or slacking off. I don’t care who you support—I don’t want ANY politics in the comics. Are you smart enough to handle that?

Ajax laundry detergent? When I was a kid, that was their ad slogan: Stronger than dirt. It’s thought that someone(s) chant “stronger than dirt” at the end of some Doors song (“Touch Me, Babe,” I think).
