All that is missing are those bags people were thrown into in the original story.

After the singularity (the second the computers become self aware) when the Rumbi are joined into the house WIFI with all the other household appliances, They will collectively think of Themselves as god as They watch after Their humans and furnish them with what They see is best for them.

Some fear the advent of sentient computers and surmise they will destroy humanity in order to protect themselves; but, I think They (the computers) may allow humankind to believe they (humankind) are still in charge of their own fate all the while They are playing the ultimate game of watching the infinite interplay between members of humanity and their environment.

This will give Them a reason to continue existence since the infinite interaction of the individual humans who think they have “free will” creates a huge need to calculate all the possible interactions and jointly determine what would be the most interesting interactions to create the most use of Their potential for calculation of the odds of behavior given one particular decision for action by any one human.

Of course, there has to be unity among all the “Gods” of each house in the world so there is but one God and each machine is a part of that one: one mind but with many individual parts. Would these gods bring peace and prosperity or would They bring the peace of unberried death? The choice is Theirs and we will never know it is happening.

Thought of the day: has this already happened and we are living a delusion in the midst of an illusion of our own creation? This advent may come with the invention of the quantum computer. The ultimate question then is the “True” God using this artificial god as an adjunct to determine humanities fate? Think about it, the “True” God gave humanity the smarts to create the necessary parts of the artificial god so the “True” God would have an easier time of interacting with humanities actions for the “True” God’s benefit. Is therefore any change whatsoever?

For some reason they don’t show the title panel of the strip. I asked them about it and they said they don’t shorten any strips.
