Turtles are checked for their A1C?

RJ can really put on and lose weight really fast.

Yesterday he looked like a Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade balloon.

Verne beware of falling cows ! You tried to help RJ but now you have to let go .

I had to look up what A1C means. I had no idea that Verne was an Airman 1st Class.

He’s a raccoon. What’s he got? Like, five years?

Mine’s fine-or would be if I knew what a A1C was….

RJ and I have much in common. But now I need to find my “inner” Vern and get my A1C DOWN.

This comic makes a much deeper point than one might expect. Replace “eating healthy” with “immunization” or any other activity that benefits society as a whole more than it visibly (or immediately) benefits the individual.

As funny as all of this is – it is an interesting area. There are any number of people, presumably well meaning, who advocate for whatever – keto diets, no carbs, whatever – with extreme … energy. For some that information would probably be usable. For others it should be ignored.

Most of the time, boring medical test results are the best kind.

also Verne wants to take your meats, and yours and yours and yours……………………..but not mine, my vegetarian family already took most of mine………………………………….probably a good thing…………………though, some of those meatless meats are pretty expensive…….you know, for not being meat.

Such good use of lab data is rare in comics <3 :)
