Gotta stress what’s important. And what’s important has only a peripheral connection with what’s good… or pleasant… for the students. Which is what happens when you let “distant” bureaucrats be in charge.

If Millie plays alto maybe she should listen to some Charlie Parker and if tenor then St. John Coltrane.
I thought that came natural to ten year olds. Poor Millie. She really being tested here.
