I’m actually down for the idea of watching ads for in-game currencies. Or rather, letting them run muted while you look at something else.

Ads are WHY time shifting was so popular among those who watch network TV. AND why the streaming folks charge you so much to stream their content ad-free.

I know the advertisements make you angry. Why do you think they come from MAD AVENUE! ;D

They should still be following the maximum volume rules right? The way it usually works is: Imagine a graph of the volume. A regular show with regular dialogue is a wave pattern with ups and downs. Commercials start at the max sound level and never go down, straight line at the top of the scale.

And this might have been before streaming services were around to add advertisements to their shows, making it even harder to balance the sound levels.

Actually they play the programs softer than the adverts. Same effect.

They don’t care if you snooze during the programs, but you got to HEAR their ads.

It’s so you can hear it in the bathroom during the break. Now it’s 10 minutes program 8 to 9 minutes ads all in 30 second increments.
