Aren’t we, like, three months late for April Fool’s Day?

Which is what makes it a better April Fools prank, you don’t expect it. Come to think of it, you don’t say April Fools Day when you play an April Fools prank, so why do we limit the pranks to just one day instead of the entire month?

This strip was the first Peanuts April Fool’s related strip originally run on April 2, 1951 – the day after April Fool’s Day.

Years later, Lucy would warn Charlie Brown that she was about to play an April Fool’s Day prank on him, then go ahead and play it—and Charlie Brown would fall for it, anyway!

So, when did Patty become the Peppermint tomboy who would become Chuck’s baseball rival, or this a different gal altogether?

I’m starting to think that Schulz had to have smoked pot or something around 1952. To take the strip in the direction it went. Cause this is horrible stuff!
