I remember the first “dime” candy bars. Most were a nickel, but two or three jumped to a dime while I was playing little league baseball. But Chunky bars were consistent. They were called the “thickest nickel candy bar you can buy.”
I think there were still dime candy bars around 1970, but that year my dimes were going for packs of 10 baseball cards (plus a stick of nearly-inedible chewing gum). Still have a lot of those cards and they’re worth more than a penny apiece now.

That’s why you should always break the snack yourself instead of trusting the dog to do it.

I don’t think it was chocolate. Many of the cheaper candy bars just say “chocolaty” which can be translated as “contains no chocolate.”

It’s like when you do “up high, down low, in the middle, too slow” with a high-five and someone actually hits your hand before you can pull it away.
