If this had led to a story arc, I’d picture a skeptical Patty eyeing CB’s work in progress and asking,“Charlie Brown, are you building something or tearing something down?”
It just occurred to me—Schroeder hasn’t spoken in the strip at this point, has he? Which is kind of interesting, since Lucy was speaking about as soon as she was introduced.
I had to reread the strip, I thought Charlie Brown had made the piano heavy. But actually, Schroeder is carrying the piano away before CB can do anything!
There’s a (much later) strip where Schroeder is bragging to Charlie Brown: “I have perfect pitch.”“You mean A perfect pitch, and who cares, it’s football season!”Then Schroeder thinks to himself “I need a transfer to a different comic strip!”

Yeah, better trust your gut and find a professional piano tuner.

Good call Schroeder.

At least he didn’t drop the tools on the piano. Schroeder would have really gone ballistic.

I had one of those pianos when I was little. I don’t think tuning was an option…

He should get the world famous Dr. Opporknockity to tune the piano. Then he’ll never have to have it done again.
After all, “Opporknockity Tunes But Once.”
