Ah, the age of radio. Considering the crap on television these days, it was an incredible experience.

[No, I was NOT old enough to have seen it first hand. But I have TONS of Jack Benny radio programs on CD. :-) ]

Since these comics were from the late 50s and early 60s (when I was a child), were there still radio programs? I don’t remember any….we grew up in the early age of TV cartoons. Maybe Shulz is reminiscing his OWN childhood.
