Did he starch the rope? Or is that really a much larger balloon? Cause there is no way that small balloon oughta be able to pull up a rope that heavy.
I’m remembering another “Peanuts” (regular or classic) strip where Lucy got all sorts of string to help Charlie Brown’s kite stay up in the air until a ship’s anchor chain ended it all. Be grateful Charlie Brown didn’t do that to Lucy’s balloon.
While you’re at it, you can bring her 98 more red balloons.
As a bonus, Lucy can now keep the QEII tied to the dock. ;-)
