I always find the compliments (and insults) used in old cartoons and movies interesting. In today’s world with it’s overuse of hyperbole, you’d think Charlie was damning her sandwiches with faint praise.
This will eventually lead to Charlie Brown’s divorce as an adult when he tells his wife to make him a sandwich as she’s changing their baby’s diaper while trying to do the laundry.
