I went ice skating once about ten years or so ago. I think it was in Orem, Utah at an indoor rink where I used a training walker.

What’s missing on Violet’s hat is the ties ending in pompoms. I remember those on girls at the same time boys wore caps like CBs.

I had the same problem when it came to both ice skating and roller skating. To this day, I have a recurring tailbone injury that resulted from not holding onto someone while roller skating.

I’ll bet those blades are dull as butterknives. You wouldn’t slip with newly sharpened blades.

Human relationships in a nutshell; all we really want is someone to hang onto.

oh, I used to have a fuzzy hat like that. It was rabbit fur and I loved it.

My method too.

What I really want is someone to hang on to. And if I hang on to Shermy, it’d look, well… you know…

And then when one of us slips we both go down together!

I really like the early Peanuts strips where some girls actually say nice things to Charlie — before nasty Lucy starts dominating. : )
