So…how early IS Charlie Brown coming over to play? 7am? I guess the parents opened the door and allowed him to come in. I doubt he just walked into their house. When I was a kid (back in the stone age), we didn’t knock on other people’s doors until at least 10. Of course, if you see kids playing outside early in the morning, that’s fine…you would join them. But you never knocked on someone’s door really early…..unless that had been pre-arranged.

“Sleepies”? I’m 69 years old, have lived in 4 states as well as 3 countries besides the US, and have never heard pajamas called “sleepies”.

Now we know why Lucy is so bossy when she gets older: Brain damage.

Is this the first strip where Lucy started talking in complete sentences?

One of my early memories is of me figuring out that I could climb out of my crib. It wasn’t long after that I graduated to a regular bed.

Lucy speaks very well for her age.

Perhaps her parents were the type to use ‘baby’ talk instead of teaching useful language skills…
