As somebody said (yesterday?) – no wonder CB isn’t well liked.

When Violet asks for your art critique, Charlie Brown, just appreciate it (and she’ll still toss it over her shoulder).

The first treasury of early Peanuts comic strips should have been titled, “You’re A Dick, Charlie Brown!”

Nobody likes a narcissist.

It’s not about you, Charlie Brown!

Sticking to the point is not something CB is good at, apparently! :D

I have a “friend” like this. She cannot make a comment without making it about herself. So tiring and obnoxious.

Fortunately, Charlie Brown stopped that annoying habit. My 65 year old manager in at work? Well, that’s another story. And he’s more than willing to tell it… :(

Nice attempt at trying to relate to her, Charlie.. but she wants the spotlight.

Suddenly Violet became disinterested.

I once drew a straight line with a ruler. Once.

Actually a good lesson to be learned here. I know people like this – always trying to one up everyone else.

I’m seeing a reoccurring theme in these early strips…Charlie Brown has a habit of sabotaging personal interactions, just as they get started. Then in the later ones, he mopes and whines about nobody liking him.

Any Freudians out there want to tackle this one?
