Yup. I used to work in a language school. Everyone was obliged to take at least one class of under-14s a week. These were the kids whose parents wanted them out of the house, and the kids knew it. They didn’t want to be there. English twice a week, swimming or riding three times a week, gymnastics or team sports on the weekends.
Inflation isn’t that crazy — $12 is about $30 in today’s money. It would still be a silly amount to pay if the whole goal wasn’t getting Lucy out of the house. As it is, it’s a bargain.

Too bad Tik Tok wasn’t around yet. Lucy has enough there to go viral.

I mentioned animated “Peanuts” cartoons, so those dance moves were seen on them.

Using an inflation calculator (at https://www.usinflationcalculator.com/), $12 in 1954 would be about $132 today, looks likewi3leong was correct, lol.
