It’s fun to see in these earlier strips the beginnings of characters that were introduced after the main few like Lucy, Linus, Schroder and they became long running to the end characters, then we have Charlotte here, who ends up being a strike-out character, after seeing her get introduced in a big way.
I was taught to enunciate clearly and to project my voice. That can come across as speaking too loudly. But when people speak too softly, you may have to ask them to repeat.

My college roommate would TALK OVER anyone she was afraid might interrupt her. Just raise her voice and go on talking.

I don’t think any of the Peanuts gang is going to call her, “Good ol’ Charlotte Braun.”

This was a good arc, watching the other characters react to Charlotte.

Over my almost-69 years, I thought I had read every Peanuts strip ever drawn, many times over. But I have no memory at all of Charlotte Braun.

That’s the way to “put over” a point. Interesting turn of phrase. Most would say “make” a point. The point apparently being, HOW DO YOU DO?
