The boy’s name is Shermy and the girl’s name is Patty. Within ten years they end up being nothing but background characters but as of right now they’ve had more strip time than Charlie Brown himself.

The final frame looks like a much fairer arrangement than the first. Snoopy never was a sled dog, certainly not when he was little.
