Shermy stands in the snow-covered field watching Charlie Brown roll a snowball along. He asks, "Do you want to go to the show, Charlie Brown?"<BR><BR> Charlie Brown stops and asks, "What's on, 'Ivanhoe'?" Shermy replies, "Uh, Huh"<BR><BR> Charlie Brown resumes his task and says, "I think I'll wait until next week..."<BR><BR> Shermy helps him place the last snowball on the top. He concludes, "I don't like to see a movie before I've read the comic magazine!"<BR><BR>

I suppose they must be talking about the 1952 Ivanhoe film, which starred Robert Taylor, Elizabeth Taylor, and Joan Fontaine. It was first released in US theatres on July 31, 1952, but I suppose it must have still been possible to see it seven months later.

Interesting how Schulz always made a point of using the term “comic magazine”, which in fact is more accurate than “comic book”.
