NO, rather the first time he struck out. A lifetime .300 hitter, Linus went 0 for 27 his first season but was a threat to PP’s team in later times. He led Charlie Brown’s All-Stars in total hits, stolen bases, doubles, triples and came in 2nd place for most HRs behind Snoopy.

One might look at this now and think, “That’s the punchline?” But the thumb-and-blanket bit with Linus was still new at that time.
